The history of Honda cars in Malaysia started sometime back in the lead up to the 1960s. The brand made its first appearance through Kah Motor Company which was granted the license of an official distributor in that year 1969. During the early years of Honda’s establishment they mainly relied on the importation of fully built units. But, in the year two thousand, local manufacturing took a different stance after the formation of Honda Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.. Honda Motor Co., Ltd., DRB-HICOM, Oriental Holdings Berhad venture set up on assembly plant in Malacca. Since then, Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd has successfully established the firm as one of the primary automotive companies in the country due to high-quality cars, innovation and reliable company. Current generations of the Honda Civic, Accord, and CR-V have become major recognizable vehicles here in Malaysia proving indeed Honda’s dominance in the region.
